The 3rd Party Media Surge Side Drawer opens when you click on a 3rd Party Media event in the Observe dashboard. These events include:

Within this drawer, you will see:
- The report the mentions in the event came from
- Total Mentions in the event
- Total Ratings in the event (where applicable)
- Any associated annotations
Below that, you will see a section for each narrative that contributes mentions/ratings to the surge.
The bar graph plots the daily value of the metric (mentions or ratings) included in the event. You can filter the graph by the:
- 3 days surrounding the event on either side (+/- 3D)
- 7 days surrounding the event on either side (+/- 7D)
- 30 days surrounding the event on either side (+/- 30D)
The table lists each mention in the event, including fields for:
- The mention’s Source (Station, and Network where available)
- The name of the Segment (program or episode) the mention occurred in (where available)
- Date/Time of the mention
- The Mention itself, in context
- Ratings for the mention (where applicable)
All mentions included in the surge that are not part of a narrative are grouped together in an Other Mentions section at the bottom of the drawer.
