Alembic allows users to edit their personal info and account settings, turn on multi-factor authentication (MFA), and manage their sessions through the Profile & Settings screen.
Note: If you lose access to your authenticator app and/or device, please contact Alembic Support (support@alembic.com) to help get you back in.
Navigate to Profile & Settings
Open the user dropdown by clicking the down arrow in the top right corner of the page.
Select Profile & Settings. Click on the Security tab.
Setting up MFA
Before setting up MFA for your account, you must first download an authenticator app (e.g., Authy, Google Authenticator, Duo Mobile) to your device. Once installed, proceed as follows.
1. Click on the button labeled Start MFA Enrollment.
2. Next you will see a screen showing you a QR code for you to scan with your authenticator app. Make sure to note down your backup codes before proceeding.
3. Scan the QR code and you will see a one-time passcode shown in the app on your phone. Enter the one-time passcode into the Code field and then click Enable MFA.
You are now ready to use MFA when you log into Alembic.
Disabling MFA
If you already have MFA set up, you will see the following:
Open up your authenticator app and enter the one-time passcode shown in the app into the Code field above. Then click Disable MFA.
You have now disabled MFA on your account.
