Navigate to Link Accounts

Open the user dropdown by clicking the down arrow in the top right corner of the page.

Select Link Accounts.

 

Connecting Salesforce to Alembic

Before linking your accounts to Alembic, be sure to have the correct settings in place. See the Requirements section below for more information.

1. Click Connect Salesforce. You will be navigated to Salesforce to log in.

2. If the linking process was successful, you will see your account listed in the Alembic Link Accounts page. On the Link Accounts page, see the first tab "Accounts you have connected to Alembic" for a full list of all the accounts you have linked to Alembic.

3. Enable the account by clicking the Disabled button to the right and hitting Enable.

Requirements

Please make sure you have the following required settings in place before linking to Alembic. Need help? See the External Resources section below for more information.

  • Alembic needs a Salesforce user who can:
    • Read standard objects (e.g., Lead, Opportunity, etc.).
    • Enable and access Field History Tracking.
  • These permissions are often available to a System Administrator by default. However, if you prefer to use a different profile or custom permission set, please ensure it includes the necessary object permissions (read-access only) and access to Field History Tracking.
    • To enable Field History Tracking for 'Lead' Object, for example, go to Object Manager > Lead > Fields & Relationships, then check Enable Lead History and select Lead Status.

Limitations

At the time of linking, Alembic instantly backfills 4 years' worth of historical Salesforce data.

Time series data is recorded historically. If an account becomes unlinked, all data collection stops until the account is relinked. When the account is relinked, Alembic will automatically backfill the missing time series data.
