Alembic allows you to annotate specific dates or date ranges to give context to the events and correlations that you see in the app.
Once created, annotations appear in situ in the following places:
- Observe
- Correlation Details (Side Drawer)
- Initial Post Surge (Side Drawer)
- Post Resurgence (Side Drawer)
- Initial Account Surge (Side Drawer)
- Account Resurgence (Side Drawer)
- 3rd Party Media Surge (Side Drawer)
- Web & Apps Surge (Side Drawer)
To get a full list of your annotations for the current container, you can use the Annotations page.
Navigate to Annotations
There are two ways for a user to navigate to Annotations:
User Dropdown
Open the user dropdown by clicking the down arrow in the top right corner of the page.
Select Annotations.
Create Annotation
Go to Create Annotation, select which dates you would like to annotate and a title then click Create.
Annotations
Within the Annotations page, you will see, for each annotation:
- The Date(s) of the annotation
- The Annotation itself
- Correlations that occur within the same time frame as the annotation (Associated Correlations)
- Actions you can take on the annotation, including Edit and Delete
Note: There are two tabs to the Annotations table. User annotations are the annotations added by members of your organization. System annotations are added by Alembic, usually to denote data events that may affect interpretation. System annotations are not editable or removable.
You can also add a new annotation directly from this page by clicking on the Create New Annotation button in the upper right-hand corner.
